Being quite a young agricultural enterprise, Svarog West Group Corporation amazes anyone visiting its production points for the first time. It seems sometimes that the time-machine has sent as into far future. Taking into consideration the present situation in Ukraine and shirt terms of the corporation activity such global changes are hard to believe into.
One of the corporation's "seven wonders" in the region is growing vegetables using drip irrigation. And though the experience of the corporation is really not essential in this area, the results prove to break all stereotypes.
The first harvest achievements showed that the idea of enlarging the areas is not a desire but a need. So in 2008 the areas, devoted to different vegetables were essentially dultiplicated up to 120 hectares.
Even more important is that in spite of the vegetables' attractiveness usage of chemicals is out of our production projects. Being tested by the Khmelnytsky sanitary-epidemiological inspection service and Kakhovka Research and Scientific Institute, the production was declared to meet the European quality standard. Besides, the technologies used by the specialists contribute to the products' containing all necessary nutrients and vitamins.
The corporation's vegetable project is full of continuous experimenting. At first the goal was to try growing a wide range of vegetables. Still the conclusion was made to direct further efforts to specialization. During the 2007-2008 marketing season the priority was given to tomatoes, potatoes and onions.
Another important issue – this year the corporation lays the foundation of its retail trading. The first harvest of tomatoes "was crowned" with portable package specially designed for supermarkets and retail consumers. The package itself is quite convenient for usage and contains all necessary information concerning the product and its manufacturer.
In general, all vegetables are hold over in 1200 tones capacity storage.
In August the corporation plans to organize a presentation of its vegetable growing enterprise - Ovochevy Dim Podillya Ltd. The event's blueprint contains visit of future partners, negotiations concerning cooperation and concluding agreements.
