Getting American experience

Every enterprise should have experience to meet the demands of time and to compete successfully. That's why modern experience and new ideas were the aims of "Svarog West Group" representatives' delegation which headed to the United States. Members of the delegation were: head of observing council O.Gurevich, head of the crops growing department Y.Dmitriev, head of animal breeding department A.Palyanitsya, deputy head of the department Y.Potapchuck.

The delegates visited World Ag Expo in Tulare. Leading producers of agro machinery from the whole world exposited their latest novelties. Huge multifunctional harvesters, tractors comfortable as limousine, sophisticated equipment and technologies of tomorrow attracted much attention. Exhibition devoted to cattle breeding and food production in Chicago, Illinois, was interesting too. Another newspaper should be published in order to describe the variety of foreign machines, science inventions and other fascinating things.

Besides, the delegates attended several farms to see their colleagues working. There's some most interesting peculiarities of agriculture in the United States

There are no big agro structures in the USA. Husbandry is represented mostly by farmers who have 500-2000 ha. Every farming capable territory is used. There is even no such notion as "empty land". The main difference between Ukrainian peasant and North-American farmer lies in state policy. American agrarian feels secure and interested in his work due various programs and friendly price policy. The effects of world's economical crisis are not visible in agro sector, only in big cities.

In general, farming products in the USA have much common in with Ukrainian ones. There are same potatoes, onion, garlic and tomatoes. Only sorts of vegetables are different because lands there are arid (the average temperature is 35 Ѱ above zero) and demand big quantity of water. Much attention is paid to grapes, peaches, etc in southern states. Nut gardens are widely spread also.

Meet and milk animal breeding basis is the same. But there are some interesting peculiarities. For instance, goat milk is very popular and milk farms usually process their products.

Due to the experience the US colleagues shared with delegates, there are many impressions and ideas. It's planned to seed 20 ha with different sorts of American tomatoes in order to define which of them suits the best. The nut gardens are another thing which is much hoped to success, because climate in Chernivtsi is apropriate.

But the biggest impression our delegates experienced is by American roads, but not the agrarian devices or smart technologies. We should work hard to achieve the same level at this branch.
