«Svarog West Group» corporation embodies step by step a new model of successful Ukrainian agricultural business while working under the best standards. The financial and economic crisis and collapse of prices for agricultural products become a powerful incentive for corporation to seek ways for new realization horizons. Way of streamlining and improving the effectiveness was selected to ensure direct contacts with foreign customers.
Such solution had serious grounds. Indeed, the territory of corporate activities increased during recent years, the volume of grain products doubled as well. Also a lot of achievements were gained in realization of fruit, meat, milk, etc.
Consequently, corporation becomes a profitable partner, not only for Ukrainian traders who buy crops for exports. We have sufficient capacity for direct cooperation with foreign partners.
Therefore, a strategy was developed to establish trade relations, which involve identification of potential clients and contracting on the basis of mutual benefit.
Attendance of International grain conference in Almaty (Kazakhstan) on February 26-27, 2008, by corporation delegation was illustrative as well. The delegation was personally led by corporation Chairman A. Gordiychuk, he was accompanied by Deputy Chairman V. Gavrilyuk.
The conference was aimed to develop grain export markets under the condition of world's crisis. It was good possibility to recommend our corporation among more than 120 representatives of grain, inspection and transport companies and international banks. Also, the delegates got acquainted with some aspects of international trade, have discussed the problem of intensifying of trade in the agricultural sector.
A logical extension of the corporate presentation was attendance by Chairman of the Corporation and his deputy, Y. Yanchenko International grain conference in Egypt (Sharm el-Sheikh, March30 – April 1) and Ukraine (Kiev, April 24-25). The latter was the highest class one and high productive.
203 companies and firms from 25 countries delegated their representatives there. A grain forum was attended by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Ivan Kyrylenko, titular heads of GAFTA: David Heligan, President, Roger Maas, vice-president, Pamela Kirby Johnson, General Director.
- Most important things at the conference were communication and experience, - says Yuri Yanchenko. - Participants had opportunity to talk about credit assistance and future of grain trading. These lively debates warmed relations with representatives of companies from the Arab world and EU. It is important for us to obtain practical trading skills, understand the prices and contracts environment clearly.
Thus, formation of an attractive corporate image and adaptation to the international market give first results. In particular, the most intensive negotiations are held with the Arab world. Their representatives visited our corporation lately. They examined production capability. Much attention was paid to storage conditions and grain elevators.
Most laborious work is ahead. But it offers tremendous prospects of profitable realization of agricultural products, hence - financial earnings for the development of production, solution of social problems, etc.
