One can often hear from agriculturists that a bread easily is not given,, because the job of a farmer is hard and incessant. Making great efforts to cultivate and gather the harvest, farmers also worry about its protection. So, it turns out that to grow up and gather the harvest is only a part of the matter.
Questions concerning the storage and protection of the harvest do not bypass aside "Svarog West Group" corporation - the most powerful manufacturer of agricultural production in the region. Anatoly Morgun, the chief of security service of the department of protection and economic security, tells us how the corporation protects the harvest.
- Harvest protection - is a great complex of measures that provides storage, - marks Anatoly Morgun, - from pantries of corporate farmsteads, where the preparation for sowing crops takes place, ending his collection, transportation and storage. So, in pantries takes place the mixing of seeds of grain with pesticides. This is the work of a security guard, who supervises the presence of pesticides, their expense on volume according to operating specifications, and controls the rest of pesticides. When the grain is taken out from the storerooms to fields for crops, it is also under the supervision of mobile groups.
The harvested grain is stored in pantries of corporate farmsteads, at open joint-stock company "Shepetivska realbaza of bakeries" and at Slavutsky elevator item, where the grain clear of impurities and dry. Due to lack of the space for storing large amounts of grain, the leadership of the corporation decided to storage these crops in open territory in polypropylene bags, which are closed with wooden planks and under the guard. It should be noted that this method of storing grain functions on farms of Shepetivka district for the second year.
Mr. Morgun assures that security guards of corporation accurately watch for inbound and outbound of grain by cars or by railway, what logbooks testify, and also conduct visual supervision of loading and unloading of production.
Also we need to protect the harvest in the fields and just before reap as well as during ripening of grain. It is for these special needs were formed mobile groups. Unfortunately, however, need to recognize that their activities are not sufficiently effective. This is due to lack of workers, which are involved in mobile groups on the fields to guard the agricultural machinery (combines, sprayers, tractors and other equipment), during ferrying of vehicles from area to area, from one farm property to another. Tearing away these mobile units from their duties directly for the protection of crops in the fields leads to thefts.
Bitterly to recognise, but nevertheless, it is the fact that people in the villages located near with crop fields, having got used to live in those days when "all was collective-farm - all was of mine", and they still live with this principle. Peasants consider it necessary to come in on own ŕâňî on fields and to abduct there from grain, corn, a sugar beet and mow a lucerne.
- Considering all aforesaid, together with other departments of "Svarog" corporation are defined the basic actions for prevention of thefts and strengthening of the control over the crops, - Mr. Morgun underlines, - after all, crops thefts were made repeatedly and and there are even some specific examples, which, unfortunately, are not single.
On the field near the village Orlyntsi of Shepetivka district a citizen K. has stolen corn and on own car has brought it home. Concerning this citizen criminal case is raised. Also nearby the village Verbivtsi of Shepetivska district was detained citizen M. with two sacks of corn. It should be noted that citizens, who were caught stealing, recover economic loss amounting to 4020 hrn.17 cop.
Mr. Morgun also told, that for more reliable protection of crop, the storage points will be equipped with modern security equipment. In order to prevent thefts of harvest in the future, employees of the department of protection and economic security of the corporation have developed a range of new measures for strengthening control over processing crops, over export of sugar beet from the field, as well as for strengthening control over the use of fuel and lubricants.
Management of the Department is currently working over the systems of improving the work of security service of Svarog West Group Corporation. The important point is that all objects of the corporation under the protection will be divided into three categories according of strategic function. Well prepared and qualified security guards will be engaged in their protection, after more detailed and more rigid selection of candidates on a post of the security guard of corporation will be conducted, applicants for this post must have knowledges even in some spheres of jurisprudence. Directly with security guards of corporation will be conducted various lessons for the purpose of increase of their professional level and skills, after that security guards will pass an exams. The given workers should know the rights and duties of security guards, duty regulations, and also to have medical preparation and to possess knowledge on fire-prevention safety. Level of wages of these workers will be above, and to correspond to a category, on what the security guard will work.
While the above-mentioned innovations are still under development, in the department took place some changes. Requirements to existing system of protection, to selection of candidates on a post of the security guard have cardinally changed. The structure of department of protection and economic safety was accurately defined, rules about security service with definition of concrete functional obligations of each worker of department were determined. Employees are gradually provided with a uniform and footwear, introduction of video observation is planned on two objects of corporation
Mr. Morgun also noted that the Department of protection and economic security of the corporation cooperates with local law enforcement agencies - City department of Internal Affairs of Shepetivka on behalf of the chief town of R.Gavrilyuk, Deputy Chief I.Manzhaliya, Senior Lieutenant V.Gladky, Lieutenant V.Lebid’.
Mr. Morgun also praised the work of certain employees of the Department, their professionalism and dedication to work. This senior guards of "Shepetivsky realbaza bakeries" M. Yaroshchuk, M. Myronchuk, I. Melnychuk, senior guards LLC “Podolsky host” A. Kozhan, security guards LLC Levada M. Verhogljad , V. Suchok, A. Hrystyuk, V. Humennyj.
So in conclusion I would like to thank the specified employees, as well as all involved in crop protection for their honest and devoted work and to wish to implement all plans and designs that will improve safety and bring it up on a new level.
