


Cattle-breeding branch of “Svarog West Group” corporation is as not local, not Ukrainian. Certainly, it also suffers from absence of an agrarian policy in the country, from fluctuations of the prices for production of farms, from the general instability. But, despite all this factors and crisis, it manages not simply to survive, but also to develop, according to plan.
Recently we met the director of department of animal industries Anatoly Paljanitsa. He told us about many pleasant changes, witch have been happened. One of them – the livestock of cows was increased to one thousand heads.
- By the end of year we will put into operation two more cow houses. One will be on 300 milk cows, another – on 200, - Anatoly does not cease to surprise. – The first cow house will start to work in village Velyka Medvedivka, on complex witch is already familiar to you. We will increase its capacity to thousand cows. The second cow house is in village Lotivka, Shepetivka district. A thousand cows will contain there too. The complex will work at full capacity in the end of 2010, now we are finishing the development of project on its reconstruction and building.
Nowadays there are 2600 heads of milk cows and by the end of the year will be at least 3600 cows. The considerable part of wet nurses is in usual, so good familiar to us farms, which «Svarog» has carefully kept after joining of farms. On separate of them was made a reconstruction, were installed two milk lines, thanks to which milk does not contact to air and realised as the premium.
- Every day we sell about 40 tons of milk, - tells A.Paljanitsa further. – In northern region it is taken away by the firm "Ęîěî", and in southern – by Milk Processing Factory of Gorodenka, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil’.
Also the cattle breeders of corporation seriously are engaged in meat cattle breeding. They have cattle breeders’ reproducer on cultivation of the big horned livestock. In short term it was constructed and installed two platforms for fattening for two thousand heads of the big horned livestock. The cattle (groups on 200-400 bulls) will be on fresh air all year long. As it is known, the cows are not afraid of frosts; they suffer them much better, rather than overheating. The main thing is that it must be dry in the cow houses. There are shelters for the rest and from a rain and the feeding troughs are protected by canopies. The cattle breeders are planning to create in the beginning of 2010 approximately 500 hectares of cultural pastures which, will be multicomponent. Now the corporation co-operates with institute of forages of Vinnytsa and with enterprise "Symunasinnja", which specialises on duplicating of seeds of multiannual grasses.
There is one more novelty in meat and milk cattle breading of corporation: experts seriously develop and introduce the manufacture of organic meat and milk or as it is more habitual for our hearing – ecologically pure. Already all possible was made for this purpose on a complex in village Velyka Medvedivka – it just will receive the respective certificate. Then the milk will be sold to those enterprises, which specialise on manufacture of a children's food. Manufacture of milk for a healthy children's food – is a new direction in Khmelnytsky region and till this time any of the enterprises has not been certificated as that.
- We also have an operating time with the foreign firms, witches are ready to buy pure meat, - Anatoly notices. On a question, whether their organic production will be presented in Ukrainian market, he answers in the affirmative. But we should understand that the cost price of its manufacture is higher, that is why it will be appreciated more expensively.
The livestock of the big horned cattle of corporation totals 13 thousand individuals. Preparation of forages for such numerous livestock is also the big level of work. In this occasion it is possible to tell, that the forages are prepared in full measure – about 50 thousand tons of a silo, almost 5 thousand tons of straw and 3 thousand tons of hay.
“Svarog West Group” corporation always and in all places makes the main accent on the introduction of advanced experience, on innovations and searching of effective technologies. It is not surprising, that there is a big group of people, which works on these questions in cattle breading. These researches are very important for the further development.
