The first wave of harvesting is over

The end of August – beginning of September is a time of a marvelous ancient tradition in Ukraine – to celebrate harvest time. By this time all the important crops such as wheat, rye, barley, oat etc. are to be gathered. As it has been centuries ago people make thanksgiving to God for good harvest and bring sacrifices – fresh bread loafs – to the church.

The first stage of harvesting has been a joyful event for our corporation. Despite some unfavorable weather conditions during planting, especially in Chernivstsy region, harvesting has been finished in due time and without blippings and the results are satisfactory.

General harvest rates as per each culture are the following:

Khmel'nystky region:

• Spring wheat – 33 centners per ha (harvested 2444 hа);
• Winter wheat - – 50.3 centners per ha (harvested 1776 hа);
• Spring barley – 38 centners per ha (harvested 2049 hа);
• Winter barley – 50 centners per ha (harvested 950 hа);
• Оats – 34 centners per ha (harvested 117 hа);
• Winter rye – 35 centners per ha (harvested 601,4 hа);
• Triticale – 41 centners per ha (harvested 223 hа);
• Pea – 33 centners per ha (harvested 902 hа);
• Winter rape – 31.5 centners per ha (harvested 1574 hа).

Chernivtsy region:

• Winter wheat – 48.9 centners per ha (harvested 1683 га);
• Winter barley – 36.9 centners per ha (harvested 107 га);
• Winter rape – 25 centners per ha (harvested 305 га);

Thanks to the high responsibility and professionalism of our engineers and agronomists each stage of the harvesting process has been finished as per the plan.

We are looking forward to the second wave of crop gathering. This time we will harvest soy, millet, corn, sunflower and beets. We believe our engineers and agronomists will not be wanting and the results will satisfy both us and our consumers.
