Donau Soja Associacion

The Donau Soja Association is an international non-profit organization that promotes the sustainable production of high-quality soybeans without GMOs in Europe. The Association was founded in 2012 and currently employs more than 270 members from 24 European countries, among them:

  • seed companies,
  • manufacturers and distributors of plant protection products,
  • agricultural producers and processors,
  • fodder producers,
  • manufacturers of machinery and equipment,
  • test labs,
  • research institutes,
  • traders,
  • food manufacturers,
  • trading networks,
  • associations, non-governmental organizations and influential politicians.
The Association's head office is located in Vienna, Austria, and regional offices operate in Ukraine, Serbia, Romania and Moldova. Representatives of the Association are also in Poland and the Netherlands.
The general objective of the Association is to build stable, comprehensive, well-functioning and holistic sales (local, regional and international) soybeans without GMO and organic soybeans from European countries.
The Donau Soja Association, in a strategic partnership with the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), is implementing a project from 2017 to 2021 to build sustainable, integrated and efficient value added chains for non-GMO and organic soybeans.
The main business opportunities for partners and members of the Danube Soybean Association are:
  • support in establishing contacts with potential buyers of non-GMO soybean and products for its processing,
  • improving its competitiveness on the European market by adhering to the Association's quality standards,
  • consultations on commercial issues, technologies for the cultivation of soybeans without GMOs and their certification,
  • participation in Association activities.
